The Parés Baltà winery will take part in FINE 2023 #WineToruismExpo #Marketplace

On 1 and 2 March, the Feria de Valladolid will host FINE #WineTourismExpo #Marketplace where tourism agencies and wineries will have the opportunity to present their ideas and create profitable symbioses for the creation of a quality wine tourism strategy. One of the wineries that will be present in the capital of Valladolid is Parés Baltà.
Familiarity and tradition are two adjectives that perfectly define the company’s methodology. Its beginnings in the 19th century and its connection with its environment set this winery apart from the rest.

More than 200 years of winemaking history
The enormous winemaking tradition is explained by the following fact: The origins of Parés Baltà date back to 1790, when the first vineyards were planted on their estates in the Penedés region, a strategic location within a radius of 30 kilometres between the Mediterranean Sea, Barcelona and Tarragona.
The main objective is to take care of the vineyards in the best possible way in order to produce organic wines and cavas full of expression and the essence of the landscapes surrounding the vines. Landscapes that have witnessed, for centuries, the cultivation of vines. Our passion for nature has always led us to promote organic cultivation, obtaining certificates since 2002, and biodynamic since 2012.
Man does not live by wine alone…
Biodiversity is another of the signs of identity that you will notice if you visit the headquarters of this Catalan winery. This characteristic is explained by the fact that there are different types of crops, apart from vines, such as olive and almond trees.
The land is tended thanks to the manure provided by a flock of sheep owned by the winery. In addition, the bee panels help with pollination and transmit the Mediterranean essence to our grapes.
The winery’s wine tourism experiences are described as unique and authentic. To visit Parés Baltà is to visit one of the most beautiful areas of the Penedès. Whether you are looking for fun, knowledge or simply want to buy the product at the point where it is made.

Gastronomy has its importance
The first wine tourism experience is the option of visiting the winery and enjoying six organic biodynamic wines and cavas. With the “Essence” tour, you can discover the virtues of this type of cultivation while you are immersed in the vineyards. In the barrel room and in the cellar, visitors can see how the best wines are selected for our vines.
Wine tourists can also combine the wines and cavas with a selection of gastronomic products of supreme quality. Lunch takes place in the cellar, a unique setting with spectacular views.
Accommodation is no problem at all. Parés Baltà gives you the option of staying in the different rural houses available. From the heart of its vineyards you will be able to live an authentic experience, surrounded by an incredible serenity, while enjoying your stay and the different activities you have planned.
What activities can wine tourists find? Anything you can imagine that can be done in a winery: from a hiking excursion through the lands where the grapes are born and grow to visits to the vegetable garden and cooking workshops to learn the dishes that combine perfectly with the different wines and cavas.

Two experiences stand out above the rest
Among them, two stand out: Terroir Tour and cheese pairing. The first activity is a tour of the Foix Natural Park, from the valley to the highest mountains of the region, visiting ancient terraces until reaching the Hermitage of Santa Maria de Foix, discovering the wide range of soils and microclimates that surround the winery.
The adventure ends with a guided tasting of six organic wines and cavas from the DO Penedés and DO Cava, through which we get to know in depth the soils, microclimates and varieties of the region, as well as tasting a wine from our small Priorat winery.
The last experience to be mentioned is the pairing of products with different cheeses. This activity includes a visit to the winery and the pairing of 8 organic wines and cavas with a large selection of cheeses. In the barrel room and the cellar, visitors are shown how the wines are made, combining ancestral and modern techniques.
The range of options is wide and you will be able to learn about the history of a winery and how biodynamic cultivation is part of their philosophy. Without a doubt, this is a very interesting wine tourism offer for any tourist who wishes to enjoy a relaxing stay in the heart of nature.
