FINE #WineTourism Marketplace, the international wine tourism marketplace, will be held for the fourth consecutive year at Feria de Valladolid. This event puts a flourishing sector linked to the wine experience at the centre of its activity. On 1 and 2 March, wineries, wine routes, tour operators and tourist agencies will come together in a space designed for knowledge, business and networking.
Wine tourism is a growing sector worldwide. More and more wine lovers and enthusiasts are visiting wineries and vineyards in search of a unique, original and personalised experience, with Italy, Portugal, Spain, France and New Zealand being the most popular destinations.
France is one of the leading powers in this activity, with 13 wine regions* and a deep-rooted wine culture that is a delight for the visitor.
According to Atout France (Angence de dévelopement touristique de la France), wine tourism is one of the most dynamic sectors of French tourism. Nearly 10 million wine tourists, including 4.2 million foreigners, visit the country in search of an unforgettable experience related to the world of wine. Such is the importance of this sector that a third of tourists cite wine and gastronomy when choosing a stay, according to the organisation.
These figures once again demonstrate the importance of wine tourism on an international level. In this context, FINE #WineTourism was created with the aim of creating a working space for wine tourism agents, obtaining excellent results in its past editions thanks to its revolutionary format based on common interests.
