• Shooting Locations Marketplace ends second edition with satisfactory results

Shooting Locations Marketplace wraps up this Friday two days of intense activity for audio-visual industry professionals and shooting locations that came together at this event organised by Feria de Valladolid and the Spain Film Commission, which was sponsored by the Valladolid City Council.

‘From our perspective as organisers, and based on the initial feedback we received from participants, the consensus is that Shooting Locations Marketplace is a strong business platform for both location scouts and destinations’, said Alberto Alonso, managing director of Feria de Valladolid.

The president of the Spain Film Commission, Carlos Rosado, also referred to ‘the positive image that Spain projects as a shooting location, the development of our country’s audio-visual sector, and our potential to be a benchmark in Europe’.

Shooting Locations Marketplace has positioned itself, with only two editions held, as a real business forum bringing great value to participants. This is reflected not only in the 700 interviews scheduled, but also in the meetings between colleagues, because, as they explain, ‘it’s a chance for us to learn how things are done elsewhere, what solutions are applied, while sharing opinions and ideas’.

The exchange of knowledge is precisely the theme of the programme of conferences and round tables, where this year, among other topics, sustainability, logistics and incentives were discussed with professionals from the United States, Norway, Abu Dhabi, Malta, the United Kingdom, India and Spain.

For its third edition, Shooting Locations Marketplace aspires to increase the number of participants of all profiles, both destinations and location scouts, in order to offer broad, diverse and attractive content to sector professionals.
