Palencia has confirmed its attendance as location manager at the first edition of Shooting Locations Marketplace, that will celebrate next October at Feria de Valladolid. Its participation involves the opportunity of meeting audiovisual industry companies.

Heritage, history, culture and nature without leaving a city 20 meters closer to heaven thanks to Cristo del Otero, the highest in Spain of its kind. This is the best presentation that Palencia city can bring to Shooting Locations Marketplace in Valladolid.

The versatility that this city in the region of Castilla y León offers is very difficult to find in the same enclave. A perfectly kept historic centre, one-kilometre-long pedestrian path such (Calle Mayor, Main Street), main character of the historic film with the same title, the third largest cathedral in Spain, the fortress-church of San Miguel, where the marriage of El Cid and Doña Jimena took place, and green areas that turn it in the second city in Spain in area-per-inhabitant, are just some of the items that make Palencia a perfect location for any type of audio-visual project.

The Department of Culture, Tourism and Festivities of the City Council (Concejalía de Cultura, Turismo y Fiestas del Ayuntamiento) arrives at this trade fair with the goal of sharing all the great and good things that Palencia can offer, beyond confirming the institutional support necessary to make real any initiative in this area.

Shooting Locations Marketplace, a project developed by Feria de Valladolid endorsed by the Spain Film Commission, has an international scope. Today international and national destinations as Canary Islands, La Rioja, Navarra, Mallorca, United Kingdom, Costa Blanca, Portugal, Castille and León, Valence, Castile-La Mancha, Andalusia, Catalonia or Brussels have confirmed their attendance.
