There are places that tell stories, and there are those who know how to listen to them. From that intuition was born Wild Frame, the consultancy created by three of Spain’s most renowned Location Managers: Enrique Gutiérrez del Álamo, Fran Castro and Lluna Juvé.

After more than two decades travelling through the audiovisual world —from snowy mountains to impossible cities— they decided to bring their experience together to shape a common project: a consultancy that understands location as something more than a setting. For Wild Frame, every place is a creative, strategic and emotional decision.

Their purpose is clear: to put the eye of cinema at the service of territories and those who film them, helping to connect stories with spaces capable of enhancing them.

The founding trio have led the supervision and location management of acclaimed productions such as Society of the Snow, 30 Coins, Money Heist, Cable Girls, Sanctuary, Berlin and When Nobody Sees Us. Their work has helped consolidate Spain’s image as a cinematic territory par excellence: diverse, prepared, and supported by a professional network worthy of major international productions.

In a few days, the firm will participate in Shooting Locations Marketplace, which will be held in Valladolid on October 15 and 16.

Location as a language

Wild Frame was born from a simple yet powerful idea: a location is not just a place, but a point of view. Through its Film Location Design division, the firm supports producers and directors throughout all stages of their projects, offering strategic advice, scouting, team design, budgeting and negotiation of agreements.

Its method is based on a conviction: that creativity and technique are not opposites, but complementary. Every spatial decision influences the narrative, logistics, and final outcome of a work.

«Creativity is about seeing what others don’t see,» says Fran Castro, summarising the group’s philosophy. For Lluna Juvé, their work is defined as “a wild eye and a disciplined mind to find places that tell stories.” That combination of intuition and rigour defines Wild Frame’s DNA: to observe freely and act precisely.

Beyond its artistic component, the consultancy brings meticulous management of budgets, schedules and teams, as well as solid negotiation experience with public administrations, companies and private owners. «The magic of cinema happens when there is trust and collaboration,» recalls Enrique Gutiérrez del Álamo.

Wild Frame has also ventured into the field of virtual production, integrating real locations into digital environments. From image capture to application in virtual studios, they help bring the essence of real territories into the digital universe, expanding creative possibilities while optimising costs and travel.

Territories that inspire stories

Wild Frame’s work goes beyond audiovisual production. The consultancy also advises institutions and public administrations interested in positioning their territory as a film destination.

Their role is to identify the best locations, create catalogues tailored to the industry’s real needs, and align administrative procedures with international standards. The goal: to turn the arrival of a film shoot into an opportunity for economic, cultural and sustainable development.

In each project, Wild Frame promotes a balance between fiction and territory, analysing the benefits and challenges that a production entails to ensure a positive and lasting impact. Their approach combines technical analysis with environmental awareness, advocating for a more conscious and respectful filming model.

This vision is complemented by their commitment to training. The three members teach courses on the craft of location management, sharing with new generations the knowledge that only comes with years of filming, negotiation, and experience on the ground.

Because, in the end, Wild Frame doesn’t just look for locations: it looks for meaning in places. And when a space and a story meet, cinema stops being just an image — it becomes memory.
