Santiago de Compostela Film Commission will attend the first edition of Shooting Locations Marketplace, the event organised by Feria de Valladolid aimed to the audiovisual industry and filming destinations that will take place next 21st and 22nd October.
The Santiago de Compostela Film Commission is a non-profit audiovisual promotion office created as a public service in 2002 by Santiago de Compostela City Council, on which it is dependent. Its main objective is promoting the city by stimulating the image culture, as well as boosting and conssolidating the film and audiovisual industry and all of its related services.
Its basic functions are, among others, facilitating relations between audiovisual production companies and the industry’s services and facilities in the city, providing all kinds of advice and information in processing permits, filming assistance service, location service and permanent contact with the community, production companies and the government. Some of the films that have been filmed in Santiago de Compostela are “The pride and the passion”, “La Gran Barrera”, “La Casa de la Troya”, among others.
Shooting Locations Marketplace, a project developed by Feria de Valladolid endorsed by the Spain Film Commission, has an international scope. Today international and national destinations as Canary Islands, La Rioja, Navarra, Mallorca, United Kingdom, Costa Blanca, Portugal, Castille and León, Valence, Castile-La Mancha, Andalusia, Catalonia or Brussels have confirmed their attendance.
