ViniPortugal aims to be the ambassador of Portuguese wine excellence at FINE 2025

ViniPortugal

ViniPortugal, the Interprofessional Association of the Portuguese Wine Sector, has established itself as a key entity in the promotion and enhancement of Portuguese wines globally. Its participation in the upcoming edition of FINE represents a unique opportunity for wine enthusiasts to discover the rich diversity and quality that characterise Portuguese wines.

Effort to position portuguese wine

Founded in 1996 as a private non-profit association, ViniPortugal brings together the main organisations and professional associations of the Portuguese wine sector. Recognised by the Ministry of Agriculture of Portugal, this entity has played a fundamental role in managing and promoting the “Wines of Portugal” brand.

For more than two decades, ViniPortugal has worked tirelessly to position Portuguese wines in international markets, highlighting their uniqueness and oenological tradition. The winemaking history of Portugal spans over 2,000 years, with influences from various civilisations such as the Phoenicians, Greeks, and Romans, which have contributed to forging a unique wine identity in the country.

A great country

Portugal, with its 14 wine regions, offers a wide range of wine tourism experiences that allow visitors to immerse themselves in the wine culture. From the terraced vineyards of the Alto Douro, recognised as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, to the picturesque routes of the Dão, wine lovers can enjoy tastings, guided tours of century-old wineries, and vineyard tours that reflect the rich wine heritage of the country. ViniPortugal, through the “Wines of Portugal” brand, facilitates access to these experiences, promoting events and activities that connect producers with consumers and tourists.

Hundreds of activities

ViniPortugal’s commitment to excellence is reflected in its constant investment in promotion and education. With an annual investment exceeding 8 million euros, the association carries out more than 100 promotional actions per year in 21 strategic markets, involving more than 400 national economic agents.
