The Wine Route of the Utiel-Requena Designation of Origin will participate in the third edition of FINE #Winetourismexpo on March 1st and 2nd at Feria de Valladolid.
The Route passes through ten municipalities: Camporrobles, Caudete de las Fuentes, Chera, Fuenterrobles, Requena, Siete Aguas, Sinarcas, Utiel, Venta del Moro and Villargordo del Cabriel. Since its inception, it has been involved in the “Wine Routes of Spain” project, supported by ACEVIN (Association of Spanish Wine Cities) and the General Secretariat of Tourism, which establishes quality standards that all establishments must meet.
At the sites of Molón, Kelin or Las Pilillas, in addition to enjoying the landscape, visitors can learn about the evidence of how viticulture was practiced since the 5th and 6th centuries BC.
The wine tourism activities that can be carried out are very varied, from tastings and pairings with the sum of Mediterranean gastronomy, to participation in grape harvests or special tastings observing of “Lágrimas de San Lorenzo”. In addition, its privileged environment allows you to enjoy activities in the middle of nature, being the Natural Park of Hoces de Cabriel one of the references in active tourism in the region.
