The International University of La Rioja (UNIR) and FINE, the International Wine Tourism Marketplace, have signed a collaboration agreement for the fourth edition of this event in favour of dissemination and training aimed at wine tourism professionals.
FINE is an event developed by Feria de Valladolid open to the participation of wineries and wine tourism territories which, for two days, participate in a contracting market attended by tour operators and national and international travel agencies.
UNIR, for its part, has created a master’s degree in lifelong learning in wine tourism, a strategic area with great potential for the future, which requires specialisation and professionals who value this resource.
“It is a pleasure to collaborate with UNIR in actions aimed at the development of wine tourism and the training of specialised professionals is an essential facet”, said Alberto Alonso, general director of Feria de Valladolid.
For the Director of Lifelong Learning and Professional Degrees at UNIR, Elena Mora, “wine tourism is a booming sector with great future prospects. Now more than ever, qualified professionals are needed to design and implement an action plan that turns wine tourism into a profitable line of business, increasingly digital and sustainable”.
The Spanish Wine Federation (FEV), a partner of FINE since its launch, is also participating in the implementation of this master’s degree.
