Asturias Rural Tourism Cluster: innovation and tradition in the heart of a Natural Paradise
Asturias, a land known for its unparalleled natural beauty, rich history and deep cultural tradition, has always been a favourite destination for those seeking an authentic tourism experience rooted in the territory.
In this context, the Asturias Rural Tourism Cluster emerges as a pioneering initiative, dedicated to promoting innovation, sustainability and excellence in the rural tourism sector.
Formed by a wide network of companies, organisations and knowledge entities, this cluster works tirelessly to promote rural tourism in the region, generating new opportunities and increasing the competitiveness of the sector.
Since its creation in 2015, the Asturias Rural Tourism Cluster has had a dual objective: on the one hand, to promote innovation and the internationalisation of Asturian rural tourism; and on the other, to increase the competitiveness of its member companies.
This commitment translates into the implementation of innovative projects, the offer of value-added services and the establishment of strategic alliances that benefit the entire value chain of rural tourism in Asturias.
Asturias cider tourism: the answer to the need for cider-based tourism
Rural tourism in Asturias finds in ‘cider tourism’ one of its most authentic and differentiating expressions.
The Asturias Cider Tourism Product Club Association was created with the vision of integrating the cider sector with the tourism sector, promoting cider and cider culture as the central axes of a unique tourist offer. This initiative seeks not only to bring visitors closer to the cider tradition of Asturias, but also to generate a tourist resource that stands out for its originality and attractiveness.
Its main objective is to develop and promote cider culture as a first class tourist resource, boosting related tourist development and supporting the cider sector. The association works to promote the name and identity of “Sidraturismo Asturias”, the preservation of cider culture, and the promotion of cider-related tourism.
This approach not only enriches the tourist offer of Asturias, but also contributes to the cohesion of the cider production, marketing and consumption sectors, thus strengthening its role as a tourist resource.
Beyond tourism: a commitment to sustainability and innovation
The Asturias Rural Tourism Cluster and Sidraturismo Asturias share a commitment to the promotion of responsible, sustainable and quality tourism.
This commitment is embodied in the implementation of practices that not only seek to preserve the rich natural and cultural heritage of Asturias, but also in the constant search for innovations that can enrich the tourism experience.
Through cooperation among its members, the cluster fosters excellence and competitiveness, ensuring that rural tourism in Asturias is a source of social and economic development for the region, while preserving its identity and values.
