Viña Costeira: the magic of the Ribeiro region at FINE 2025

Viña Costeira, founded in 1968 by a group of visionaries in the Ribeiro region of Galicia, has established itself as a benchmark in the world of Spanish wine. Its participation in the FINE #WineTourism Marketplace highlights its commitment to tradition and innovation in wine tourism.
Since its inception, Viña Costeira aimed to revive indigenous Galician grape varieties such as Loureira, Godello, Albariño, and Treixadura, challenging the wine trends of the time. This dedication to Galician viticultural roots has been key to its identity and success.
Located in the Ribeiro Designation of Origin, the oldest in Galicia and one of the oldest in Europe, the winery is situated in the basins of the Miño River and its tributaries Arnoia and Avia. This region, known for its thermal springs, has been a wine-producing centre since Roman times, with a tradition strengthened in the Middle Ages by the monks of the San Clodio monastery and other religious centres.

The pazos as a place to enjoy wine
Viña Costeira offers various wine tourism experiences designed for different visitor profiles. Among them is the “Enogastronomic Visit,” which includes a tour of the Pazo de Toubes, an 18th-century pazo with centuries-old vineyards, followed by a guided tasting of three wines paired with bites prepared by their chef.
Additionally, the winery organises special activities such as “Painting and Wine,” where participants can relax painting glasses while tasting wines, and “Chocolate and Wine,” an experience that pairs artisanal chocolates with their wines. These proposals aim to offer a complete immersion in wine culture, combining art, gastronomy, and oenology.
‘Galicia Calidade’
The winery has been a pioneer in the recovery of indigenous varieties, promoting their cultivation among partners and ensuring the quality of their wines. This dedication has earned it recognitions such as the Galicia Calidade seal, which certifies the excellence of its products.

In its quest to offer unique experiences, Viña Costeira has developed innovative activities such as “Yoga and Wine,” which combines yoga sessions with visits to the winery and wine tastings, and “Brunch e Viño,” which pairs seasonal Galician cuisine with their wines in a unique setting.
Viña Costeira’s participation in FINE 2025 provides an exceptional opportunity to get to know its legacy and wine tourism offerings up close. Attendees are invited to visit their stand to learn more about their wines and experiences, or to explore their wine tourism offerings through their website.
