Bodegas Enate: the art and excellence of Somontano wine

Located in the privileged surroundings of the Somontano Protected Designation of Origin and the Vinos de Madrid D.O., Bodegas Enate is a diverse, innovative wine group committed to excellence. Comprising three wineries – Enate, Laus and Las Moradas de San Martín – each of them brings its own identity, combining art, nature and sustainability. Their participation in the International Wine Tourism Fair (FINE) is a unique opportunity to discover their varied wine tourism offer and learn first-hand about the richness of their wines.
Enate: the art of wine, the wine of art
Since its foundation in 1991, Enate has combined oenological excellence with contemporary art, becoming a reference in the world of wine. The winery, which also houses an art gallery with works by artists such as Antonio Saura and Antoni Tàpies, reflects the close relationship between creativity and wine. Its legacy is based on precise winemaking and the production of wines that express the character of Somontano.
Laus: a tribute to nature
Created in 2002, Laus is located in the heart of Somontano and stands out for its natural setting, surrounded by vineyards and a large sheet of water that surrounds its modern winery. Its name, which in Latin means ‘praise’ or ‘praise’, reflects its devotion to the land. At Laus, oenology is based on minimum intervention and maximum respect for the vineyard, obtaining wines that capture the essence of the Somontano DO.
Las Moradas de San Martín: grenache with a literary soul
Located in the Sierra de Gredos, within the D.O. Vinos de Madrid, Las Moradas de San Martín is a winery with a history linked to the centuries-old Garnacha grape and literature. Its name pays tribute to Saint Teresa de Jesús and to the writers of the Golden Age who praised the wines of this region. Since 1999, the winery has recovered historic vineyards of Pago de los Castillejos, where garnacha and albillo real are grown using organic and biodynamic methods. Its philosophy is based on making wines that reflect the terroir and authenticity of the Sierra de Gredos.
