The complexity of its terroir, hardly altered by mechanisation, allows its plots to be classified into a wine-growing mosaic of great complexity. Although the fame of Douro wines was built on Port, the increase in the quality of non-fortified wines in the last two decades has been remarkable, placing some of these wines on a par with the best Mediterranean crus.

Since the beginning of 2013, under the direction of Philippe Austruy, Quinta da Corte has undergone a significant investment programme to achieve the excellence that its terroir has to offer.
